VESSEL LOGO – HISTORY

According to a dictionary, VESSEL means "Big Freight Carrying Ship". Mr. Ginosuke Taguchi established the name in 1932 and he was the original founder of the Industrial Group Division for Vessel Tool Company. He had such a strong mind to explore the markets overseas with his products in the pioneer spirit of Japanese tools.

Over time, VESSEL brand tools replaced other well-known brand names in Japan and soon became one of the preferred brands to use.

VESSEL gives their passion and dedication to develop high quality ergonomic tools and they are very proud of their brand name "VESSEL" living together with us worldwide.

HAND TOOLS:

Since 1916, VESSEL manufactured unique hand screwdrivers to suit applications better such as ratchet screwdrivers, precision screwdrivers, interchangeable blade screwdrivers, ball-grip cabinet screwdrivers, bearing scrapers, and even a glass cutter which was unusual at that time period.

All these unique screwdrivers were made possible due to VESSEL's professional engineering staff. They have spent most of their time and dedication towards new tool innovations for new applications.

VESSEL is very proud of their high quality tool making. They are confident for non-defective tools since they use nothing but the highest quality materials along with their supreme heat-treating processes within their factory.

Furthermore, after World War II, VESSEL was the first and original (JIS) Japanese Industrial Standard certified manufacturer of screwdrivers in all of Japan. Therefore, they had been known as the first leading manufacturing company for these kinds of tools. Even today, the VESSEL people are very proud and noble of this outstanding accomplishment.

VESSEL INDUSTRIAL BITS:

VESSEL embarked on the development of industrial bits starting in 1954. Since then, they have constantly put their efforts into improving their manufacturing process for improving the quality of their industrial bits.

VESSEL's motto is :
"FAST PRODUCTION & DELIVERY of EXCELLENT BITS, made of HIGH GRADE MATERIALS with SUPERIOR TIP CONFIGURATIONS through UNSURPASSED HEAT TREATMENT".

Effective, secure fastening of screws is indispensable in improved work efficiency and increased reliability in mass production assembly factories. Good bits play a vital role in improved product quality and cost reduction. They offer a wide range of high quality industrial bits with the quickest possible delivery. The accurately machined tip configuration of VESSEL bits will match any screw heads perfectly like a "glove". They will help prevent cam out or stripping of the screw heads.

VESSEL's materials and heat treatment methods are carefully selected for the greatest durability. They offer a wide selection of products and outstanding Customer Service to help you select and use the appropriate VESSEL bits. They assure reliability with their computer-assisted product control. VESSEL bits can be an integral part of your fastening application system.

MATERIALS

VESSEL knows that the quality of their bits first depends of the correct selection of materials. For this reason, they have developed a variety of bit materials to meet diverse needs. VESSEL integrates elements such as Carbon, Silicon, Magnesium, Nickel, Chrome, Molybdenum and Vanadium into their steels. This draws forth the bits' inherent characteristics due to VESSEL's long experience with heat treatment processes. Therefore, the tips of their highly durable bits are wear and shock resistant, as well as functionally well designed.

ACCURACY

Size and shape are essential in the manufacturing of precision bits. Therefore, VESSEL's bit materials are stocked as "bars" verse being machined or shaped. This reduces the possibility of change due to heat treatment or stress in the manufacturing process. Not only shaping accuracy but also uniform quality is exceptionally high. Even an excellent bit would still be useful if it did not fit the screw-head. VESSEL's pursuit of accuracy begins with consulting with manufacturing engineers at the customer's facilities. It's important to make an industrial bit that fits the exact purpose for which they will be used. VESSEL can custom make bits for most applications.

QUALITY CONTROL

All VESSEL bits are manufactured under their stringent quality control system in order to produce the most accurate and durable industrial bits available. The processing conditions of each production lot are recorded in detail. The record of the heat treatment process for each run is filed for 10 years. This allows VESSEL to locate any source of possible past or present problems which they could react, adjust, and improve their manufacturing process. The products from each run are sample-tested before shipment ensuring that they ship non-defective tools to customers.

VESSEL GUARANTEE

All VESSEL products are precision engineering to various standards, and the products are in warranty against either defective materials and/or workmanship when used for which they were designed. VESSEL ensures that every product supplied is manufactured and tested the relevant quality and production standards such as JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) and DIN requirement.
